Market challenges longer than expected: NCTE AG reacts with forecast adjustment

NCTE AG announces a further adjustment to its revenue forecast for 2024 to a range between EUR 3.9 million and EUR 4.5 million (most recently: “between EUR 4.7 million and EUR 5.7 million”). EBITDA is therefore expected to be between EUR -1,050 thousand and EUR -650 thousand (most recently “between EUR -750 thousand and EUR -100 thousand”).

This correction is partly due to the ongoing development in the e-bike market. The e-bike sector, NCTE’s strongest sales segment, continues to be affected by ongoing consolidation. The gradual increase in production in the bicycle industry previously expected for the current financial year has been removed from the forecast. On the other hand, other segments are now also expected to develop more weakly than previously assumed.

Despite the difficult conditions, the Management Board of NCTE AG remains confident about the long-term prospects of its core markets. The e-bike market remains a future market for the company, not only in view of the trend towards CO₂-free mobility in cities. In the current year, the company was able to initiate new projects with e-bike manufacturers and successfully drive forward the development of new sensor solutions, despite the challenges in the market environment. In the agricultural sector, NCTE AG secured an extensive series order for a major international player. It is particularly pleasing that this project is located in a new region for NCTE AG, which strengthens the company’s international market presence. Most of the revenue from these projects is expected from 2025.
