NCTE signs technology partnership with Schaeffler for the bicycle, e-bike and pedelec markets

NCTE AG (NCTE) and Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co KG (Schaeffler) have agreed on a technology partnership in the field of torque sensors for the bicycle, e-bike and pedelec market. The joint sensor bearing product portfolio will be distributed worldwide by Schaeffler.

The cooperation between NCTE and Schaeffler results in a uniquely comprehensive portfolio of mechatronic components for the bicycle, e-bike and pedelec market. This includes series products such as torque sensor bottom brackets as well as highly integrated customer solutions such as torque sensors for mid-engines. The sensors measure cadence or combine cadence and torque with non-contact, magnetostrictive NCTE measurement technology. Schaeffler will offer this product portfolio worldwide as part of its cooperation with NCTE. Schaeffler has been developing and supplying mechatronic series components for e-bike drives for years. NCTE is the expert for magnetostrictive torque sensors which are used in a variety of industrial and motorsport applications.

In the cooperation, the trend-setting NCTE technology of magnetostrictive torque sensors is once again highlighted.

Excellent technology and short delivery times

The cooperation partners rely on Schaeffler’s experience in the worldwide production of large series of mechanical components and the flexible production structures of the Munich-based NCTE with short delivery times.

NCTE sees the cooperation as an important step in establishing the technology worldwide and increasing market penetration. Further information is also available at www.ncte.de.
