NCTE wins Sane Cal as new distributor in South Korea

Munich/Oberhaching, August 2, 2022: NCTE, specialist for non-contact torque sensor technology, expands its international distributor network. Sane Calibration Instruments, based in Seoul, is the new distributor in South Korea for the complete portfolio of NCTE standard sensors. South Korea is particularly interesting for NCTE’s measurement technology in the automotive, electronics and industrial sectors. The sensors go into test benches as well as end-of-line testing. Sane Cal’s customers include the South Korean global players Hyundai, Samsung, Doosan and LG.

Since the 1960s, South Korea has undergone a rapid economic rise from an agricultural to a high-tech country. The country, which is one of the Asian tiger economies, is now the tenth largest economy in the world and Asia’s number four after China, Japan and India.

Sane Calibration Instruments

Sane Calibration Instruments was founded in 1995 and distributes calibration instruments, measuring instruments and other measurement equipment in Korea, in addition to sensors. The company is regularly active in KRISS, the Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science, which plays a crucial role in modernizing Korea’s major industries on a global scale as a developer of measurement standards.

NCTE magnetic sensor technology

Using magnetic fields, NCTE’s patented technology measures torque and speed without contact, even under the most difficult conditions, with high vibrations, temperatures up to 90 °C or in water and oil. Thus, they operate wear-free in the long term and can be used over the entire lifetime of the application. The measuring ranges are between 1 and 25,000 Nm. Accuracy ranges up to 0.1% at speeds up to over 40,000 rpm.

About NCTE AG

NCTE is a specialist in non-contact sensor technology using the principle of elastic magnetostriction. The medium-sized company employs 40 people at its site in Oberhaching near Munich. NCTE develops, produces and sells sensor solutions that measure mechanical forces (torque, force, shear, speed or bending) in a completely non-contact manner – as standard sensors and customer-specific solutions, both in individual production and for series production. Customers include Fazua, Pendix, Red Bull Racing Team, Schaeffler, Fischer and VanRaam.
