NCTE continues to expand Asia-Pacific region – Chief SI becomes distributor in Taiwan

Munich/Oberhaching, August 18, 2022: NCTE, specialist for non-contact torque sensor technology, is further expanding its offering in the Asia-Pacific region. In Taiwan, Chief SI is now distributing the complete portfolio of NCTE standard sensors as a new distributor.

Chief SI covers industries such as photonics, electronics, mechanical, manufacturing, medical, automotive, education and many government research institutes. Current customers include Intel, HP, IBM, as well as major Taiwanese players Foxxcon (one of the world’s largest manufacturers of electronics and computer parts), MediaTek (microcontroller manufacturer), and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (the world’s largest independent contract manufacturer of semiconductor products).

Since 2004, Chief SI has had its own engineering team in addition to sales and service to provide advanced measurement technology to Taiwan’s growing economy.

Complementary solution approach to DMS technology

NCTE’s standard sensors are used instead of conventional torque sensors in test stands and end-of-line tests. The advantage: The measurement is contact-free based on inverse magnetostriction without cables or wear – and thus maintenance-free. The sensors provide accurate readings even in the presence of strong vibrations. Even oil and water do not affect operation. Inverse magnetostriction technology can be seen as a complementary solution approach to conventional strain gauge technology.

About NCTE AG

NCTE is a specialist in non-contact sensor technology using the principle of elastic magnetostriction. The medium-sized company employs 40 people at its site in Oberhaching near Munich. NCTE develops, produces and sells sensor solutions that measure mechanical forces (torque, force, shear, speed or bending) in a completely non-contact manner – as standard sensors and customer-specific solutions, both in individual production and for series production. Customers include Fazua, Pendix, Red Bull Racing Team, Schaeffler, Fischer and VanRaam.
