NCTE sensors with extended output signals

Munich/Oberhaching, October 28, 2021: NCTE expands its range of standard sensors. Torque sensors with output signals ±5V and ±10V are now also available from stock. The 2000 series for test benches and end-of-line tests in production lines makes the start. The other sensor series will follow successively until mid-2022.

“As NCTE grows, we are also further developing our portfolio of standard sensors. With the new output signals, we are creating international compatibility of the products and can reach even more customers worldwide,” says Verena Graf, COO of NCTE AG.

Still available are and will be signal outputs of 0-5V, 0-10 V, 4-20 mA, CAN bus or USB. Together with the new output signals ±5V and ±10V, the torque sensors are compatible with almost all measurement technology devices without the need for adjustments.

Non-contact torque sensors for test benches, end-of-line testing and agricultural testing

The standard sensors include several series models of non-contact torque sensors for test benches, end-of-line tests and in agricultural technology. The measuring ranges are between 0.5 and 15,000 Nm, larger torques are available on request. Accuracy ranges up to 0.1% at speeds up to 10,000 rpm.

With the aid of magnetic fields, the patented technology measures torque and speed without contact. The measurement technology is thus maintenance-free and stable over the long term under the most difficult conditions, such as high vibrations, temperatures up to 200 °C or in water and oil. All sensors are “Made in Germany” at the company’s headquarters in Oberhaching near Munich and are sold including a 5-meter cable and calibration certificate for plug & play integration.

About NCTE AG

NCTE is a specialist in non-contact sensor technology using the principle of elastic magnetostriction. The medium-sized company employs 40 people at its site in Oberhaching near Munich. NCTE develops, produces and sells sensor solutions that measure mechanical forces (torque, force, shear, speed or bending) in a completely non-contact manner – as standard sensors and customer-specific solutions, both in individual production and for series production. Customers include Mercedes, Red Bull Racing Team, Schaeffler and Trumpf.
